Office Policies

OFFICE STAFF:

Our staff are the heart and soul of our practice. They are experienced and conscientious, and are available to answer your questions regarding appointments, fees, insurance coverage, billing, and dispensary products. Please ask any staff member regarding your concerns or questions. All medical related issues  and inquires will be referred to our physicians.

FEES:

  • We make every effort to keep costs fair and reasonable for your dermatologic care.

 

  •  Payment for  Aesthetician services, elective / cosmetic procedures, as well as insurance co-payments, are due at the time services are rendered.

 

  • We are approved providers with many  insurance plans. However, please bare in mind, due to the vast scope of insurance coverage, it is ultimately the patients’ responsibility to verify current coverage within their specific insurance plan, and that the doctor is an approved provider within that plan.

 

  • If you are being referred to us from another physician,  please inquire as to whether authorization from your insurance carrier  is required prior to your visit.

CONSULTATIONS:

For cosmetic consultation appointments there is an appointment fee due. This fee will be applied towards the cost of that procedure should you and the doctor decide to proceed with the treatment at our office as discussed. Extended cosmetic procedure appointment sessions require a non-refundable deposit. This will also be applied towards your procedure fee and only be refunded if you cancel or reschedule with AT LEAST a 24 hour notice to our office. This is greatly appreciated.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY:

Our office adheres to HIPAA regulations. The handling of patient confidentiality is of paramount importance to our doctors and staff. A patients’ medical information will ONLY be discussed with THAT PATIENT, unless written authorization has been provided in advance. Information will not be reviewed with any family member, friend or acquaintance without written approval giving our office to do so. YOUR MEDICAL INFORMATION IS PRIVATE. The patient has the right to limit what can and cannot be discussed outside their presence. Confidential material may be discussed, per HIPPA regulations, with that patients’ insurance company, referring physician(s), or in emergency situations without prior approval.
